Robert Shapiro says the bar passage rate is about 50 percent.
Robert Shapiro is the senior partner in the Los Angeles–based law firm Glaser Weil Fink Jacobs Howard Avchen & Shapiro, LLP. Shapiro was the high profile lawyer who successfully defended O.J. Simpson in his criminal murder case when he was accused of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman in 1994.
Initially Shapiro led the defense team (dubbed the “Dream Team”) in the O.J. Simpson case, but later attorney Johnnie Cochran was lead chair among the defense team.
Johnnie Cochran died less than two years after being diagnosed with a brain tumor, and about one year after undergoing surgery to treat the brain tumor.
Robert Shapiro concentrated on civil law, leaving criminal law behind him. Shapiro is active in business, and is the co-founder of LegalZoom (an online legal tech company that helps work on their cases), ShoeDazzle (an online fashion subscription service), and RightCounsel.com (a company that help match clients with attorneys).
