The Los Angeles Police Department announced Tuesday, January 13, 2026 that detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division are seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver of a vehicle that crashed into a parked food truck, injuring a 50-year-old woman.
On Friday, October 4, 2025, around 12:55 p.m., the driver of a white Nissan Pathfinder was traveling westbound on Pico Boulevard near Hayworth Avenue and rear-ended a parked food truck, according to LAPD. The impact caused one of the occupants of the food truck to be ejected onto the roadway. The driver of Nissan Pathfinder, described only as a female, fled the scene on foot without identifying herself or rendering aid as required by law.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital in stable condition.
Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.
On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
