If there’s one thing we learned from Miss USA Kára McCoullough, it’s that science is fun!
Who knew sulphur hexaflouride makes your voice lower.
Sulfur hexafluoride is an inorganic, colorless, odorless, non-flammable, non-toxic extremely potent greenhouse gas. Sulfur hexaflouride or SF6, also known as a Deep Voice Gas, is an excellent electrical insulator. SF6 has an octahedral geometry, consisting of six fluorine atoms attached to a central sulfur atom, and is a hypervalent molecule, which is a molecule included in a group of molecules that contains one or more main group elements apparently bearing more than eight electrons in their valence shells.
