George Murdoch (born February 21, 1973)is panelist on Fox News and an American professional wrestler, who is currently signed to the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). Tyrus is the current NWA World Television Champion. He is known for his tenure in WWE as Brodus Clay, and Impact Wrestling as Tyrus.
After training in WWE’s farm territories Deep South Wrestling and Florida Championship Wrestling, Tyrus debuted during the fourth season of WWE NXT, a WWE television show where several rookies were paired with WWE wrestlers as mentors. He debuted on the main roster as Alberto Del Rio’s bodyguard. During 2012, WWE changed his gimmick to The Funkusaurus, a funk dancer managed by Naomi and Cameron, the Funkydactyls. He took part in several WWE storylines and feuds until his departure in 2014.
Tyrus went undefeated for a while, teaming up with Lord Tensai, and later turned heel. From 2014 to 2017, Greg Murdoch wrestled in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling under the ringname of Tyrus.
Since 2016, Murdoch—continuing to use the name “Tyrus”— has been a permanent panelist and actor on Gutfeld! and a contributor on various programs on the Fox News Channel as well as Fox Nation, FNC’s streaming service.
