TMZ founder Harvey Levin describes that Britney’s doctors were adjusting her meds, which had lost their efficacy, before she voluntarily admitted herself to a mental health facility.
On January 4, 2019 Britney Spears announced that she would not be performing her new show Domination because she had to put her family first. She said that her father was hospitalized and had almost died two months prior. Previously in December 2018, there were updates about her rehearsals for Domination.
Britney Spears voluntarily checked in to a mental health facility in late March 2019 to cope with the stressful news about her father’s illness, and to allow physicians to adjust her medications for her safety.
Britney Spears got a day pass Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019 to spend time with her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, in Beverly Hills. She went back to the facility the same day, according to TMZ. Her time total time at the mental health facility is expected to be about 30 days.
I don’t even know where to start with this, because this is so tough for me to say. I will not be performing my new show Domination. I’ve been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart. pic.twitter.com/kHgFAVTjNA

However, it’s important to always put your family first… and that’s the decision I had to make. A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalized and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him.
